Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Diploma Verified in Chicago IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location you will monitor assigned areas conduct routine foot patrols and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and service requests document observations and communicate clearly with tenants guests and onsite teams. What Youll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants visitors and contractors by carrying out post orders site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of building common areas corridors stairwells and exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management procedures including verifying identification as required and directing individuals to appropriate areas according to site guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including disturbances medical calls and fire or alarm activations and notify site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation communicate security-related observations to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership and support tenant service requests within scope of post duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
