Location: This is a fully remote position based in Illinois. While you can work from anywhere in the state we also offer two office locations if you prefer a professional workspace or enjoy the energy of an in-person environment. Flexibility is built into how we work.

Note: Candidates must hold an active Illinois Bar license and have 4 or more years of family law experience. This role is not suitable for candidates without both qualifications.

Job Description

• Represent clients in all areas of family law including divorce child custody parenting time child support spousal support/alimony and prenuptial agreements
• Prepare and draft legal documents including pleadings motions marital settlement agreements contracts judgments and orders across a high volume of cases
• Appear in court on behalf of clients as needed presenting arguments clearly and persuasively even in emotionally charged situations
• Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to move files efficiently through the civil litigation process
• Analyze complex family situations develop strategy and advocate effectively for each clients unique needs
• Manage and maintain client files with accuracy thoroughness and attention to detail
• Handle matters involving sensitive issues including child abuse domestic violence and high-conflict custody with professionalism and composure

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Bar license required
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• 4 years of family law experience at a law firm
• Demonstrated success representing clients in divorce custody support and related family law matters
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong negotiation and advocacy abilities
• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress emotionally sensitive situations
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high-volume caseload
