Job Summary
Overview
We are seeking a highly capable Accountant to join a growing collaborative organization of approximately 20 employees. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a small-company environment understands the hands-on nature of lean teams and is comfortable balancing both traditional accounting functions and higher-level analytical responsibilities.
This position requires someone who can confidently manage day-to-day accounting tasks while also contributing to forecasting reporting and cross-functional projects. The right candidate will be detail-oriented intellectually curious and adaptable.
Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and reconciliations
- Support financial reporting activities
- Perform financial analysis forecasting and budgeting support
- Build and maintain Excel-based financial models and reporting tools
- Assist with operational and ad hoc projects across departments
- Identify process improvements and efficiency enhancements
Qualifications
- 2 years of accounting experience
- Strong hands-on experience with AP AR and journal entries
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Advanced Excel skills (must be able to clearly articulate specific functions tools and applications used in daily work simply stating proficient is not sufficient)
- Comfortable working in a small fast-paced organization where responsibilities extend beyond a strict job description
- Willingness to handle both routine accounting tasks and more complex financial analysis
$80000 - $95000 a year
