Session Dates:

Reach Ahead: Monday July 6 - Tuesday July 28 (17 days)

eLearning: Thursday July 2 - Thursday July 30 (21 days)


Rate of Pay: $65599.00 per session 4 % Vacation Pay


Seniority Credits: This position will allow you to accrue 1.0 Continuing Education seniority credit

Role of Subject Coordinator

The Subject Coordinator is an instructional coach who supports teachers with pedagogical assessment and evaluation and resource partnership with the Administrative Team the Subject Coordinator will support the organization/oversight of professional development opportunities for teachers provide technical support to teachers in areas such as MaMA VLE Aspen Google Classroom and Google Meet and refer teachers to the correct support member for issues outside of the Subject Coordinators role. Additionally the Subject Coordinator will support student success initiatives such as credit rescue and recovery and provide class coverage when needed often on short notice. Assessment and evaluation direction and issues concerning student behaviour are to be directed to the Program Principal or Vice Principal. The responsibilities for this position include meetings before during and after the posted dates for the program.

Application Process

Subject Coordinator applicants should hold an Honours Specialist in at least one of the subject areas specific to the Coordinator position for which they are applying. Experience teaching in a virtual (synchronous/asynchronous) classroom would be an asset. Previous experience within the Continuing Education Summer School and/or Night School program as well as any other relevant leadership experience in day schools involving mentorship of staff and curriculum are considered assets for all Subject Coordinator positions.


In accordance with the OSSTF Teachers Bargaining Unit collective agreement Article L40.02 (b) of the qualified applicants a minimum of five (5) will be granted an interview. All qualified applications will be considered in accordance with Policy Equitable Recruitment Hiring and Promotion based on qualifications abilities knowledge and experience.


The successful candidates will be appointed to a position for a two-term period with an option by mutual consent of a one-term renewal.
