About the Role
As Art Teacher you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with potential opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will encourage pupils to explore their creativity while developing strong technical and analytical skills in Art and Design.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering high-quality Art lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teaching a range of artistic techniques including drawing painting and mixed media
Encouraging creativity experimentation and independent artistic expression
Assessing pupil work and providing constructive feedback to support improvement
Supporting pupils of varying abilities through differentiated teaching strategies
Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development
Supporting extracurricular activities such as art clubs exhibitions and creative projects
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Art and Design
Demonstrate creativity and enthusiasm in teaching
Be able to motivate and engage pupils of varying abilities
Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills
Be committed to supporting pupils creative and academic development
