About the Role
As Art Teacher you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with potential opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will encourage pupils to explore their creativity while developing strong technical and analytical skills in Art and Design.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality Art lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Teaching a range of artistic techniques including drawing painting and mixed media

• Encouraging creativity experimentation and independent artistic expression

• Assessing pupil work and providing constructive feedback to support improvement

• Supporting pupils of varying abilities through differentiated teaching strategies

• Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development

• Supporting extracurricular activities such as art clubs exhibitions and creative projects

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification

• Have strong subject knowledge in Art and Design

• Demonstrate creativity and enthusiasm in teaching

• Be able to motivate and engage pupils of varying abilities

• Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills

• Be committed to supporting pupils creative and academic development
