About the Role
As a Drama Teacher you will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 helping pupils build confidence creativity and performance skills. You will encourage students to develop their own ideas while fostering an understanding of theatre dramatic techniques and performance analysis.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering high-quality Drama lessons across KS3 and KS4
Supporting pupils of varying abilities through differentiated teaching strategies
Encouraging creativity collaboration and confidence in performance
Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development
Supporting extracurricular opportunities such as school productions drama clubs and performances
Maintaining high expectations of behaviour engagement and achievement
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Have strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Drama and Performing Arts
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
Be committed to inspiring pupils creativity and confidence
Work collaboratively within the department to deliver high-quality teaching
Early Career Teachers are welcome with mentoring and support programmes available.
