Job Summary

Remitee a rapidly expanding fintech company specializing in international payments is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join its Data Team and strengthen its analytics and data-driven decision-making capabilities.

You will be part of the Data team and act as the bridge between business teams and the data platform translating business needs into reliable metrics semantic models and analytics-ready datasets. You will work closely with functional areas Data Engineering and Product teams to ensure data consistency clarity and trust across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with functional areas (Finance Operations Commercial Product etc.) as part of the Data team to understand business objectives processes and analytical needs.
Actively contribute to the democratization of data by helping business users articulate their information needs promoting shared definitions of metrics and enabling self-service analytics through well-designed semantic models and clear documentation.
Translate business requirements into: Clear KPI and metric definitions. Reusable semantic models. Actionable dashboards.
Design build and maintain semantic models in Power BI (datasets / semantic models).
Develop complex measures using DAX ensuring consistency performance and reusability.
Apply best practices in dimensional data modeling
Optimize Power BI performance (relationships cardinality aggregations incremental refresh).
Design and develop Gold-layer ETL pipelines in Databricks for analytics consumption.
Implement business logic aggregations and metrics using Databricks SQL / Spark SQL.
Define clear data contracts between Silver and Gold layers.
Ensure traceability between Gold datasets semantic models and dashboards.
Identify and communicate data quality issues and collaborate on their resolution.
Document metrics definitions and business rules to support a governed semantic layer.
Support and enable business users in the correct interpretation and usage of dashboards.

Must have:

Strong experience with Power BI including semantic modeling advanced DAX and performance optimization.
Solid experience in analytical data modeling.
Strong SQL skills.
Proven experience working directly with business stakeholders and translating business needs into data solutions.

Nice to have:

Experience with Databricks (Databricks SQL Delta Lake notebooks).
Basic knowledge of Spark.
Experience with Lakehouse architectures.
Knowledge of data governance data quality and metric standardization.
Experience working in cloud environments.
