Role Overview

As part of a production operations team supportingbanking systems you will be responsible for maintaining the stabilityof business-critical applications managing incidents monitoringsystems and supporting daily banking operations.

You will work closely with development teamsinfrastructure teams and business stakeholders ensuring efficient incidentresolution system monitoring and operational excellence.

This role operates in a 24/7 support environmentincluding shift rotations weekends public holidays and on-call duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage production support activities for banking applications and services
• Oversee and monitor Close of Business (COB) processes within production systems
• Handle L1 and L2 support activities including user queries and technical issue resolution
• Perform incident management troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Collaborate with L3 support teams and infrastructure teams for complex issues
• Support batch processing reconciliations and end-of-day operations
• Maintain compliance with IT governance security and audit standards
• Monitor systems analyze logs and ensure SLA adherence
• Communicate progress and resolution updates to stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle
• Contribute to knowledge base documentation FAQs and operational procedures

Technical Requirements

• Strong experience with Application Production Support (L1/L2) in Banking environments
• Knowledge of Linux / Unix environments
• Experience with SQL PL-SQL and Shell scripting
• Hands-on experience with Ansible automation
• Experience with Kubernetes Docker and containerized applications
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace
• Understanding of banking interfaces APIs and middleware systems
• Experience with log analysis and system troubleshooting

Banking Domain Knowledge

• Experience supporting Core Banking systems
• Familiarity with Retail Banking operations including accounts deposits and loans
• Understanding of Treasury Operations and Wealth Securities processing
• Knowledge of Corporate Actions and Payments systems
• Familiarity with payment interfaces such as SWIFT SEPA and RTGS
• Understanding of Run the Bank (RTB) operations and production incident management
