Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol in Sarasota FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents and support access control for people and deliveries. You will respond to alarms and/or unusual activity document observations and communicate professionally with site teams and visitors. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including alarm activations disputes at docks and/or gates and medical incidents and coordinate with local responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of warehouses loading docks trailer yards parking areas and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential theft.
- Control access for employees visitors and delivery drivers by verifying identification managing entry and exit points monitoring inbound and outbound vehicle traffic and documenting shipments and/or exceptions per post orders.
- Monitor cameras radios and other security-related systems; write accurate reports of daily activity and incidents; and maintain assigned equipment including duty weapon in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 1 years of armed security law enforcement and/or military experience.
- Have an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
