Assistant Information Technology Manager (Information Security) ()
The appointee will join the Information Security Section and provide information security (IS) services in support of cybersecurity and Digital Transformation of the University.
Job Highlights:
- Implement and maintain security control measures in compliance with the Universitys security policies/standards/procedures;
- Conduct IT security risk assessment and relevant vulnerability management; and
- Handle IS incidents and implement relevant remediation control.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct security risk assessment of IT infrastructure applications and cloud services;
- Handle IS incidents and implement relevant remediation control;
- Provide recommendation on security governance/control in compliance with the Universitys IS policy;
- Develop security best practices/guidelines/policies and conduct IS awareness training;
- Manage vendors for IS-related projects;
- Provide IS-related support and advice; and
- Perform ad-hoc assignments as assigned.
Requirements:
- A bachelors degree in computer science or related discipline;
- 5-6 years of work experience in IS or IT infrastructure;
- Knowledge of incident/vulnerability management or cyber-threat hunting;
- IS-related certification e.g. CISSP SSCP CSSLP CCFP CIFI CISA or CEH is preferred;
- Strong communication skills with a good command of both spoken and written English and Cantonese; and
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of 2 years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
