Job Overview:
The Network Field Engineer will support and maintain network infrastructure across multiple healthcare facilities. This role focuses on installing configuring and troubleshooting network equipment while ensuring reliable LAN/WAN connectivity and optimal network performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and configure Cisco network devices including routers and switches
Support LAN/WAN connectivity and troubleshoot network performance issues
Perform port activations and switch configurations
Update firmware and maintain network hardware
Troubleshoot routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
Provide technical assistance for network-related incidents
Maintain network security and follow healthcare compliance standards
Travel between hospital sites to support infrastructure needs
Required Skills:
Experience with Cisco network equipment installation and configuration
Strong understanding of LAN/WAN networking
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking
Experience with routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
Network troubleshooting and performance monitoring
Switch configuration and firmware upgrades
Preferred Skills:
Experience with ServiceNow
Experience with Avaya systems
Network documentation tools such as Visio
Education:
Associates Degree required
Bachelors Degree preferred
Certification:
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred

Additional Requirements:
Reliable transportation required as this is a field-based role
Ability to travel between healthcare locations
