At Maryhurst our residential programs community-based homes and our outpatient clinical programs all work to serve children in the greatest need. Our residential programs break the cycle of abuse using treatments that restore hope and successfully transition children to more permanent community or family-based settings. Maryhursts community and transitional living programs offer tools that prepare survivors of abuse and neglect for better more hope-filled futures. And lastly the team at Maryhurst Renewal partners with children adults and families who are hurting to find the right combination of support ultimately clearing barriers to success at home at school and in the community. Renewal provides one-on-one group and family counseling in office home or school-based settings.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for helping to preserve a safe healthy cost-effective environment under the supervision of the Manager of Buildings & Grounds.
Perform basic electrical plumbing drywall and construction repairs and maintenance
Repair furniture fixtures and minor equipment
Painting interior and exterior
Complete Maintenance Work Orders as directed
Manage areas that require routine upkeep and repair as needed
Mow lawns and complete other basic landscaping tasks (i.e. trims bushes picks up limbs and branches etc.)
Remove trash
Clear snow
Attend and participate in meetings as assigned
Complete special projects duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED required. Minimum of one years experience in the field of maintenance and/or construction. Basic knowledge of building maintenance techniques plumbing HVAC electrical systems and grounds maintenance. Able to use hand tools and construction equipment. Must be physically able to operate all agency equipment and vehicles. Frequently push pull or lift up to 100 pounds. Reaching above the shoulder level. Standing for up to 8 hours.
