Position: QC Technician II

Summary
- The QC Technician II performs fit-for-purpose testing following established operating procedures to support manufacturing operations.
- The role involves in-line and finished product release testing using various analytical techniques documenting results and supporting continuous improvement and quality compliance in the laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Perform fit-for-purpose testing to support manufacturing including in-line and finished product release testing using analytical techniques.
- Prepare standards and samples for analysis and operate laboratory instrumentation with minimal supervision.
- Document and report analytical testing data in LIMS databases and laboratory notebooks following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Assist in out-of-specification (OOS) investigations by performing relevant testing and proper documentation.
- Provide recommendations to optimize instrumentation methods and suggest improvements for laboratory processes.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to support continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain general laboratory housekeeping and ensure a clean work environment.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Bachelors degree in Analytical Chemistry Organic Chemistry Biochemistry Biology or a related field from an accredited university.
- Minimum 2 years of industry or relevant experience preferably in the chemistry or biopharmaceutical industry.
- Experience with wet chemistry techniques.
- Basic experience with analytical instruments and chromatography.
- Ability to operate laboratory equipment and perform analytical testing.
- Knowledge of LIMS systems and laboratory documentation practices.
- Familiarity with analytical test methods including ACS USP/NF EP/BP JP and FCC standards.
- Strong computer scientific and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Experience reviewing laboratory notebooks and interpreting analytical test data.
- Understanding of Analytical Chemistry techniques and instrumentation.
- Strong problem-solving abilities using Lean methodologies.
- Experience with process improvement initiatives and cost-saving activities.
