Upholsterer II

Responsible for the complete deconstruction and reconstruction of property furnishings as required and on a timely basis as well as maintaining the materials needed for this activity.

• Examine furniture frames upholstery springs and webbing to locate defects.
• Tear down of property furniture to prepare for refinishing.
• Determine best way to reconstruct property furnishings to include evaluation of need to cut sew staple use adhesives etc. and the selection of appropriate fabrics as dictated by clean ability use and function.
• On a case-by-case basis recognize design flaws taking into consideration customer safety wear ability etc. and reconstruct accordingly.
• Maintain project timeline and estimate costs for all projects.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Minimum of 3 years varied construction experience with background in garments and home décor.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• Must have good math skills and ability to take and read measurements.
• Knowledge of construction materials.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be proficient and able to safely and effectively use air tools hand tools sewing machines and staple pullers.
• Other physical requirements include but are not limited to reaching grasping bending kneeling stooping and twisting.
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
