Summary:
-
Lead and support requirements definition decomposition and allocation from aircraft-level requirements down to system and item-level specifications
-
Develop and maintain functional and logical aircraft and system architectures
-
Ensure completion of Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA) Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSA) and Common Mode Analyses (CMA) aligned with safety objectives
-
Guide system and item design implementation while maintaining traceability to higher-level requirements
-
Plan and execute verification and validation activities across the V-model including:
-
Item verification
-
System integration and verification
-
Aircraft-level verification
-
-
Support safety analyses including System Safety Assessments (SSA) and FMEA/FMES
-
Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace and defense standards including DO-178C DO-254 ARP4754A and ARP4761
-
Collaborate with software and hardware engineering teams during design development and testing phases
-
Provide technical documentation and support for certification authorities such as FAA and EASA
-
Participate in technical design reviews audits and engineering interchange meetings
Requirements:

Bachelors degree in:
-
Systems Engineering
-
Aerospace Engineering
-
Electrical or Computer Engineering
-
or a related technical field
-
-
5 years of experience in systems engineering within:
-
Aerospace
-
Automotive
-
Complex systems environments
-
-
Hands-on experience with V-model / V-diagram systems engineering processes
-
Experience with safety assessment methodologies including:
-
FHA
-
PSSA
-
SSA
-
CMA
-
FMEA / FMES
-
-
Familiarity with aerospace certification standards including:
-
ARP4754A
-
ARP4761
-
DO-178C
-
DO-254
-
-
Strong analytical skills technical writing ability and experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS)

Experience with system modeling tools such as:

SysML
-
UML
-
Cameo
-

Experience with test planning and verification across multiple integration levels

Knowledge of aircraft design development and certification processes
