Sr. Media Specialist
About the Role:
A growing and dynamic marketing agency is looking for a Senior Media Specialist to join its media this role you will act as both a strategic media planner and hands-on buyer leading digital media campaigns across multiple channels including OTT display paid search social media digital audio and retailer-sponsored media.
Working closely with senior media leadership you will take ownership of the full media campaign lifecycle-from strategy and planning to execution optimization and performance analysis. This position is ideal for a media professional who enjoys working with data negotiating media opportunities and developing impactful cross-channel campaigns that deliver measurable results for clients.
You will collaborate with creative social PR analytics and account teams to ensure campaigns are integrated strategic and aligned with client objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Partner with the Media Supervisor and Media Director to develop strategic goal-focused media campaigns
- Plan and execute campaigns across Advanced TV (OTT) display digital audio paid search and social media
- Manage campaigns through Google Ads Google Display Network and YouTube
- Research negotiate and execute effective media plans with minimal supervision
- Collaborate with traditional media creative social PR and account teams to deliver integrated marketing solutions
- Monitor campaign performance and recommend optimization strategies to improve results
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media vendors and platform partners
- Work with the analytics team to update dashboards and provide campaign performance insights
- Manage media billing and reconciliation for owned channels
- Mentor and train junior media associates on billing processes and campaign workflows
- Stay informed on media trends new platforms and emerging opportunities
Key Responsibilities:
- Use research tools to gather audience competitive market and channel insights
- Develop strategic media plans and presentations aligned with client goals
- Research emerging channels measurement approaches and competitive trends
- Maintain media documentation including:
- Media flowcharts
- Campaign tracking spreadsheets
- Billing authorizations
- Production timelines
- Negotiate media buys and secure added-value opportunities
- Manage vendor contracts and maintain documentation of historical campaign performance
- Coordinate with internal teams to deliver creative assets and ensure quality assurance for tags and placements
- Work with vendors to ensure accurate and complete delivery of media campaigns
- Review approve and process monthly media invoices
- Monitor budgets and campaign pacing to ensure financial accuracy
- Provide campaign performance insights and optimization recommendations
- Contribute media expertise to agency thought leadership initiatives such as blogs and industry insights

Qualifications:
Required
- 5 6 years of experience working with digital media channels (paid social display paid search retailer media)
- Bachelors degree in a related field
- 3 years of experience with Google Ads
- 3 years of experience in advertising services
- Strong understanding of digital media KPIs campaign management and reporting
- Experience preparing RFPs and strategic media presentations
- Knowledge of media planning tools and research platforms
- Ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication presentation and collaboration skills
