Overview: The have launched customer core program to implement SAP as billing system and part of that is data governance
Melissa reports to Jody Allison on business side - So this person is identifying and articulate and defining governance process looking through customer domains and identifying governance pieces that they want to ensure while they implement SAP
D2D: This is a brand-new role but this person would be working with tower Leads through blueprinting process to define what the data requirements are. From enterprise standpoint they have governance but at a customer standpoint they have defined these domains and gov. practices so working w/ Data gov to make sure these are defined and implemented across the domain and as it related to SAP defining data components as they move through blueprinting process.
They have SI / BI and this person will work alongside those resources from those vendors as well as diff. technology and business resources from Xcel.
YOE: 4-6 YOE is the target. Specifically someone with SAP experience preferably.
Modules within SAP: IS-U big NTH only b/c if they have good data experience she doesnt want to not consider them if they dont have ISU but if they have SAP without ISU specifically then that could be acceptable.
Utilities: Really big NTH
Expectations: if they have an understanding of data gov. practices/requirements are at an enterprise level understanding where they are with the projects and data definitions for the team itself is month 1 and then expanding that into different areas of the business and define with the governance needs are for the customer within the first 90-days and as they start to think about the customer domains what are the reporting / data needs for the program long term for connecting the dots between the program as they go into blue printing.
Top 3-5 Skills:
- Data governance 4-6 YOE
- Pref. experience with ISU
- Pref. experience within utilities domain
- Experience in data governance reporting/analytics
Tools: Signavio from process standpoint as well as JIRA for requirements documentation.
Education: Expect at least a bachelors but not opposed to someone with strong experience if they only have an assoc. but a bachelors would be initial expectation.
Wont consider no degree or just HS.
Anything else for ideal: customer-oriented background SAP Data Utility experience any transformation experience as well large projects etc.
Prescreen questions:
- Transformation program have you ever established a data governance program from scratch and how would you approach that
