The Role
The Alternate Investment Team within Fidelity Institutional Technology (FIT) is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join the team to help build and maintain high quality product and solutions to enable Alternate Investment business. We are looking for a person who has hands-on software engineering experience building cloud-based systems using modern scalable resilient Cloud native architectures (Containers and Serverless). Able to navigate and mange technical complexities while developing secure and scalable solutions for our customers.
The TeamThe Alternate Investment development team at Fidelity designs builds and supports an Alternate Investment solution. This team is an innovative diverse and hardworking group who use an Agile approach and principles to deliver.
The Expertise and Skills You BringEngineering Expertise:
- Bachelors degree (or higher) in Computer Science Information System or a related field.
- Minimum 8 Years Related Technology Experience financial industry experience a plus.
- Demonstrated experience of full Software Development Life Cycle using Java/J2EE technologies REST Webservices DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development.
- Multi-stack engineer with knowledge in a breadth of development technologies and test automation frameworks Selenium Karate JEST Cucumber Serenity.
- Experience with Oracle database and strong knowledge of writing and executing SQL queries. Proficient with data analysis.
- Passionate about Test Driven Development developing robust software writing testable and maintainable code.
- Experience with Application development and integrating terraform with Continuous Integration/ Deployment (CI/CD) tools.
- Experience with source code and project administration tools such as GIT JIRA.
- Able to perform many roles within the agile squad from development to QA to systems analysis in order drive sprint deliverables to completion.
- An aptitude for writing clean testable readable and easily maintainable code. Experience with building and maintaining unit tests and mock services using Jest JUnit Mockito unit testing framework.
- Strong data driven problem-solving abilities. Collaborate with cross squads to define design and ship high-quality software solutions.
- Agile environment work experience. Collaborate with Agile team members to build comprehensive and cohesive solution approaches. Support project and release planning.
- Ability to take up new challenges and explore new technology/tools.
Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles. Some roles may have unique onsite requirements. Please consult with your recruiter for the specific expectations for this position.
