Job Summary
Job Summary (List Format):
- QA Engineer / SDET position with 6 months contract-to-hire (CTH) no sponsorship available
- Hybrid role based in Lansing MI or Farmington Hills MI (local candidates preferred)
- LinkedIn profile required for all candidates
- Must be comfortable with onsite or in-office technical interviews
- Hands-on experience with Playwright (TypeScript preferred) or similar frameworks (e.g. Cypress)
- Experience building and maintaining UI and API test automation frameworks
- Background in transitioning from legacy automation tools (Selenium Postman/Newman) to modern approaches
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into DevOps workflows
- Experience with API (REST/SOAP) and end-to-end test automation
- Proficient in SQL for data validation and test data management
- Familiar with test management and traceability tools (e.g. TestRail qTest QMetry)
- Experienced in using dashboards reporting and quality metrics in an engineering environment
- Effective collaborator in Agile teams contributing to shared quality ownership
- Able to explain and justify testing approaches clearly (critical thinker not just an order taker)
