Job Description:
Business Analysis & Process Improvement
- Analyze end-to-end insurance business processes systems and data to identify gaps inefficiencies and opportunities for optimization.
- Recommend process improvements and system enhancements aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Support initiatives related to policy administration underwriting claims billing and customer service systems.
Requirements Gathering & Documentation
- Elicit analyze document and validate business and functional requirements through stakeholder interviews workshops and working sessions.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications use cases process flows and data mappings.
- Ensure requirements are clear complete testable and aligned with business objectives.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between business users product owners developers QA teams and vendors.
- Support development teams throughout the SDLC to ensure accurate and timely implementation of requirements.
- Participate in sprint planning backlog grooming UAT support and defect resolution activities.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation including business requirement documents (BRDs) functional requirement documents (FRDs) process flow diagrams user guides and training materials.
- Ensure documentation complies with internal standards and regulatory guidelines relevant to the insurance industry.
Required Experience
- 12 years experience as a Business Analyst
- 5 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst preferably within the Insurance domain.
- Strong understanding of insurance operations workflows and regulatory considerations.
- Proven expertise in requirements gathering business process modeling and functional documentation.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall project environments.
- Proficiency with business process modeling tools (e.g. Visio BPMN tools).
- Familiarity with business intelligence reporting tools and data analysis techniques.
- Experience supporting UAT and working with QA teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
