Introduction:
In this role you will be a key member of a global RF IC reference design team responsible for developing RF front-end solutions thatdemonstratethe capabilities of GlobalFoundries RFSOI technologies.The position focuses on the design and enablement of core RF IC buildingblocks including switches antenna tunersandlow-noise amplifiers. You will work closely with customers across China and the Asiaregion to communicate technology capabilities understand applicationspecific design requirements and translate these needs into effective reference designsthatshowcaseplatform strengths.
Your Job:
Design and develop RF switches and antenna tuners for5G FR1/FR3 cellularandWiFiapplications using GlobalFoundries RFSOI technologies.
Perform RF IC schematic design layout and verification usingCadence IC design tools.
Execute electromagnetic (EM) simulations using tools such asEMXandADS MomentumtovalidateRF performance.
Contribute to the design and analysis ofadditionalRF frontend blockslikeSwitchesandLNAs as part of integrated solutions.
Develop clear and comprehensivedesign documentation including architecture simulations and design tradeoffs.
Define and executedetailed characterization andvalidationtest plansto assess silicon performance.
Collaborate closely with thecharacterization labto analyze measurement results and drivemodel to hardwarecorrelation.
Must have good technical verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with cross functional teams
Engage withcustomers across China and Asiato understand design requirements and present technical solutions.
Communicate effectively inEnglish and Chinese both verbally and in written technical materials.
Other Responsibilities:
Support our Asian customers who needmoreassistancein designing their RF Front-endcircuits like switchesantenna tuners and low-noise amplifiers
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental Health Safety & Securityrequirementsand programs
Required Qualifications:
MinimumM.S/Ph.Din Electrical Engineering from top tier institutes with 3 to 5 years of relevant industry experience
Good knowledge ofsilicon processtechnologyand RFSOI
Excellent understanding and experience of designingotherRF circuit building blocks like PAsAnalogand controlcircuitsis a plus
Dedication and the ability to work within a very dynamic interdisciplinary environment
Ability to communicate as well as work efficiently in an international multi-disciplinary environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Role needs30-50% travel
