Packet analyzing (e.g. WireSharkTcpDump WinDump);
Experience with usage of common protocols (e.g. IP HTTP/S ZeroMQ AMQP MQTT etc);
Experience with common data formats (JSON XML Protocol buffers Msgpack etc);
Automated tests;
Knowledgement about profiling and applications.
