Due to continued business growth and a secured pipeline of large-scale projects we are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead and strengthen health safety and environmental performance across the business.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting directly to senior leadership the HSE Manager will take ownership of PCFs Work Health & Safety Management System and play a key leadership role in driving safety performance across multiple projects.
This role combines strong governance and systems management with active engagement across project teams to ensure high-risk construction activities are delivered safely efficiently and in full compliance with Victorian regulations.
You will work closely with operational leaders project teams and subcontractors to embed a proactive safety culture across all projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
HSE Systems & Governance
- Lead and maintain PCFs Work Health & Safety Management System
- Ensure compliance with Victorian legislation Codes of Practice and company procedures
- Develop review and implement safety policies procedures and documentation
- Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on HSE performance and risk
Project & Site Safety Leadership
- Conduct regular site audits inspections and compliance reviews
- Oversee high-risk construction activities including formwork working at heights and crane operations
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Review and approve SWMS risk assessments and safety controls
Safety Culture & Capability
- Deliver toolbox talks safety briefings and leadership engagement sessions
- Coach and mentor project teams to strengthen hazard identification and risk management
- Partner with operational teams to proactively identify and mitigate HSE risks
Performance Monitoring & Improvement
- Monitor safety performance across projects and report key metrics to senior leadership
- Analyse incident trends and implement improvement initiatives
- Support return-to-work and injury management processes
ABOUT YOU
- 10 years experience in construction health and safety leadership
- Experience within formwork reinforced concrete or major building projects
- Strong knowledge of Victorian WHS legislation and high-risk construction activities
- Demonstrated experience managing audits investigations and compliance systems
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence site teams and senior stakeholders
- Relevant WHS / OHS qualification (Diploma Advanced Diploma or Degree preferred)
