Job Summary
Do you have a passion for music instruments or singing Are you someone who loves using creativity to lift others spirits Join our OutpatientVolunteer Team where you will use your artistic flair to bring comfort joy and connection to patients through meaningful creative activities.
What youll be doing:
- Bringing creativity to the group session using your knowledge of music or singing to connect with patients adapting your own ideas to suit their needs and interests.
- Preparing the creative space -setting up and tidying away materials instruments and equipment so sessions run smoothly.
- Supporting patients individually or in small groups -offering gentle guidance encouragement and hands-on support to help them engage creatively.
- Creating a safe welcoming environment -ensuring the wellbeing of patients carers staff and fellow volunteers during activities.

St Gemmas Hospice is an independent Leeds-based charity and one of the leading hospices in the UK providing expert care and support for local people with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. We offer care to patients families and carers in the Hospices In-Patient Unit through the St Gemmas community team and at our Out-Patients.
We have around 300 employees working across the main Hospice site in Moortown Retail Hub in Bramley a large chain of charity shops and out in the community. We offer career opportunities both in our multi-disciplinary clinical team and in a wide range of non-clinical roles all of which contribute towards local patient care. St Gemmas Hospice has a team of approximately 800 volunteers working in a variety of roles supporting departments throughout the organisation.
