Job Summary

Middlesbrough Council is recruiting an Analytics Officer to support our growing focus on Health and Social Care Integration. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Adult Social Care Service Improvement team and help drive better performance stronger partnerships and improved experiences for residents moving through key care pathways.

You will help us understand whats working where pressures exist and how we can intervene earlier to support people to return home safely and live independently. Working closely with NHS partners acute hospitals community services and our internal ASC teams you will pay a major role in building a shared understanding of system performance.

To be successful in this role you need GCSE Grade C or above in Maths English and ICT or evidence of equivalent level of academic attainment. For a Grade L you will need a LEAN Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher qualification.

You will have a responsibility for:

  • Analysing performance across key pathways such as Home First D2A CHC reviews and intermediate care.
  • Developing dashboards reports and insight that drive decision-making and operational improvement.
  • Bringing together data from multiple systems to build a single reliable view of performance.
  • Identifying bottlenecks risks and opportunities that support timely person-centred interventions.
  • Working collaboratively with partners across Health and Social Care.
  • Supporting improvements that reduce delays enhance flow and improve resident outcomes.

What were looking for:

  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with complex datasets.
  • Confidence using tools such as Power BI and Excel to build dashboards and reports.
  • Ability to translate data into clear narrative and practical insight.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A collaborative curious and improvement-focused mindset.
  • Experience in the public sector health or social care is helpful but not essential.
