The Opportunity


The Vice President / Director Quality & Production will lead the development and deployment of a unified manufacturing quality framework across the companys regional production ecosystem.

The role is responsible for strengthening quality governance enhancing supplier capability and driving operational discipline across multiple factories and production partners in China and Southeast Asia.

Working closely with senior leadership factory management teams and brand partners the successful candidate will establish standardized quality systems introduce data-driven performance monitoring and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing network.


Key Responsibilities


Manufacturing Quality Governance

  • Develop and implement a regional quality management framework covering internal production teams and external manufacturing partners.

  • Define quality standards inspection methodologies and governance processes to ensure consistent execution across factories.

  • Establish structured performance metrics and reporting systems to monitor quality delivery reliability and operational performance.


Supplier & Factory Quality Management

  • Lead technical audits and manufacturing capability assessments across supplier factories.

  • Monitor supplier performance through structured KPIs and improvement programs.

  • Ensure adherence to brand requirements regulatory standards and product compliance protocols across the production network.


Manufacturing Process Improvement

  • Drive operational improvements across production engineering and quality management processes.

  • Implement structured problem-solving frameworks and corrective action mechanisms to address root causes of quality issues.

  • Introduce data-driven quality monitoring tools to strengthen operational visibility and decision-making.


Cross-Functional & Client Engagement

  • Collaborate with sourcing merchandising compliance and supply chain teams to align production allocation with manufacturing capabilities.

  • Serve as a senior technical interface with brand partners on matters relating to product quality and manufacturing standards.

  • Support leadership in shaping the companys broader manufacturing quality and operational excellence agenda.


Leadership

  • Lead a regional team of engineers auditors and quality specialists across multiple manufacturing locations.

  • Build a high-performance technical organization focused on accountability capability development and continuous improvement.


Candidate Profile


Experience

  • 1520 years of experience within apparel manufacturing technical product environments or global sourcing organizations.

  • Demonstrated leadership overseeing manufacturing quality production engineering or supplier quality across multi-country operations.

  • Experience managing complex production ecosystems involving multiple factories and supplier partners.


Functional Expertise

  • Strong understanding of garment construction manufacturing processes quality systems and factory technical audits.

  • Experience implementing quality management frameworks operational SOPs and manufacturing performance metrics.

  • Proven capability in deploying corrective and preventive action systems to improve production quality and reliability.


Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-cultural technical teams across multiple countries.

  • Strong stakeholder management experience working with senior leadership factory management teams and international brand clients.


Education

  • Degree in Engineering Textile Technology Manufacturing or a related technical discipline.


Languages

  • Fluent English required.

  • Mandarin is advantageous.
