About the Opportunity
A leading 24-hour emergency and specialty veterinary hospital in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join its collaborative and highly skilled medical team.
This role is ideal for a veterinarian who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys providing immediate life-saving care for critically ill and injured patients. You will work alongside experienced emergency clinicians board-certified specialists and a highly trained support staff to deliver advanced emergency and critical care.
The Role
Emergency veterinarians in this position will:

Provide care for patients presenting with urgent or critical medical conditions

Triage and assess emergency cases to determine appropriate treatment plans
-
Diagnose and manage complex medical conditions in emergency settings
-
Perform emergency procedures and surgeries when necessary
-
Oversee and collaborate with veterinary technicians carrying out treatment plans
-
Manage hospitalized and critical care patients
-
Communicate closely with referring veterinarians and pet owners

Experience & Skills Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree
-
Eligible for or currently holding a California veterinary license in good standing prior to start date

DEA license or eligibility to obtain one

Experience in emergency medicine strongly preferred including small animal rotating or emergency internships
