Northwest Talent Solutions is recruiting on behalf of an innovative defense technology client developing secure tactical communication systems used by military personnel and first responders worldwide.
We are seeking a FPGA / ASIC Verification Engineer to help verify next-generation FPGA solutions powering advanced radio communication platforms. This is an opportunity to work on mission-critical embedded systems modern verification frameworks and complex communications technology in a highly collaborative engineering environment.
Flexible schedules include 9/80 (every other Friday off) or standard 5/8 workweeks.
Responsibilities:
Perform FPGA design verification and validation for embedded communication systems
Develop coverage-driven verification plans from planning through closure
Create self-checking test benches using SystemVerilog within UVM frameworks
Develop agents sequences cover groups predictors and scoreboards
Write randomized and directed tests to achieve functional coverage goals
Analyze system requirements and develop verification test plans
Work cross-functionally with hardware firmware and systems engineering teams
Support design reviews and technical briefings
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or related field
6 years of FPGA/ASIC verification experience (or equivalent experience)
Strong experience with SystemVerilog verification environments
Familiarity with UVM or OVM methodologies
Experience verifying embedded FPGA-based systems
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
Preferred Experience
Debugging FPGA firmware and hardware issues
Ethernet packet processing or communications protocols
Embedded cryptographic algorithms or secure communications systems
Mentor Graphics verification tools
FPGA/ASIC RTL design exposure
Programming with C Java or other object-oriented languages
Scripting using Python Bash Perl or Tcl
Linux development environments
Interfaces such as Ethernet AXI SPI
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $110000 $140000
