Insurance Coverage Attorney

Location:Uniondale NY (Hybrid)

A respected and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated coverage disputes involving complex insurance policies and high-value claims. Attorneys in this group collaborate closely with experienced litigators while gaining significant responsibility and client exposure.

Responsibilities

Analyze and litigate insurance coverage disputes involving third-party liability policies
Draft coverage opinions pleadings motions and legal memoranda
Handle matters involving duty to defend duty to indemnify and policy interpretation
Evaluate additional insured issues and reservation of rights positions
Conduct legal research and assist with litigation strategy
Manage multiple matters and communicate with clients regarding coverage analysis

Qualifications

JD from an accredited law school
Admission to the New York Bar
Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience
Interest or experience in insurance coverage litigation (not insurance defense)
Strong legal research writing and analytical skills
Excellent organizational and client communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $120000 $195000 (based on experience)
Comprehensive benefits package including medical dental life insurance 401(k) and paid time off
Hybrid schedule (3 days in office 2 remote)
