AnAssistant Director of Assessmentwho excels in this role:
Ensures comprehensive assessment and quality therapeutic care to patients seeking treatment of substance abuse dual diagnosis or psychiatric disorders
Oversees the assessment of the needs of walk-in and phone callers and completes initial psychiatric assessment on patients seeking treatment
Creates revises and implements the schedule of the assessment and referral office
Refers and triages patients to other sources of treatment when appropriate
Functions as a liaison between physicians and families coordinates with transportation servicesand other mental health facilities to organize the admission procedures.
Ensures that all vital patient assessment information is referred accurately to the attendingphysicians and that patient historical information obtained is complete to facilitate an accuratedetermination for the appropriate level of care.

What were looking for
Applicants should have a Masters degree in social work or counseling and relevant state licensure. Additional requirements include:
Current unencumbered clinical social work counselor or RN license in the state of Ohio
Previous experience in inpatient psychiatric healthcare required.
A knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles required.
CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment
Valid drivers license and favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
