Job Summary

Were looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join the Trent Regional Flood and Coastal Committee (RFCC) Team as a Lead Local Flood Authority Advisor to cover maternity leave.

In this role you will:

Work closely with our partner organisations to deliver schemes that help to reduce flood risk and enhance the environment across the English Severn and Wye Catchment.
Support Risk Management Authorities in the writing and approval of business cases.
Assist Risk Management Authorities in building a robust pipeline of future projects.
Find opportunities for joint working / collaboration.
Gather and interpret data from a range of sources to review / report on project performance.
Be comfortable delivering innovative solutions to flood risk such as Nature Based Solutions/Natural Flood Management community led initiatives or Property Flood Resilience.
Identify training needs build knowledge and share information.
Guide Risk Management Authorities through Environment Agency process requirements and streamline them where possible.
Input to Regional Flood and Coastal Committee / Finance Sub Committee Meetings as required.
