Job Summary
An outstanding secondary school in Newcastle is seeking an ambitious and inspiring Head of English to lead its successful English department from April.

About the role
The successful candidate will lead the English department while delivering high-quality lessons and maintaining excellent academic standards across the subject.
The role will involve:
Leading and developing the English department
Teaching English across KS3 and KS4
Driving high standards of teaching learning and assessment
Monitoring student progress and implementing strategies to raise attainment
Supporting and mentoring members of the English team
Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development
You will play a key role in shaping the direction of the subject and ensuring students continue to achieve strong outcomes in English.

Qualified Teacher with QTS or equivalent
