About the Role
As a Biology Teacher you will deliver lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the potential to teach A-Level Biology depending on experience. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons promote scientific inquiry and help pupils develop strong analytical and practical skills.

Key responsibilities include:

• Teaching Biology across KS3 and KS4 with optional KS5 opportunities

• Planning and delivering differentiated engaging and practical lessons

• Designing and supervising safe laboratory experiments and investigations

• Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback to support learning

• Contributing to departmental curriculum development and resource planning

• Supporting enrichment opportunities such as STEM clubs competitions and science fairs

• Promoting high standards of behaviour and a positive learning environment

• Collaborating with colleagues within the Science department and wider school

Experience and Qualifications

The successful candidate will:

• Hold a degree in Biology or a closely related Science subject

• Have QTS or PGCE or be completing an ECT programme

• Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Biology

• Have experience teaching secondary pupils or through ECT/placement experience

• Be confident in planning delivering practical lessons and classroom management

• Be committed to safeguarding and inclusive teaching
