As a Physics Teacher you will teach Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the potential to teach A-Level depending on experience. You will plan deliver and assess engaging lessons that foster scientific curiosity and critical thinking while maintaining high standards of behaviour and achievement.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering Physics lessons across KS3 and KS4 with optional KS5 opportunities
Planning and delivering differentiated engaging and challenging lessons
Conducting practical experiments safely and effectively linking theory to real-world applications
Assessing pupil progress providing constructive feedback and supporting development
Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning
Maintaining a safe organised and stimulating learning environment
Supporting extracurricular Science activities including STEM clubs and competitions
Collaborating with colleagues across the department and school
Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a degree in Physics or a closely related Science subject
Have PGCE or QTS or be completing an ECT programme
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and passion for Physics
Have experience teaching secondary pupils or relevant placements for ECTs
Be confident in planning practical lessons classroom management and assessment
Be committed to inclusive teaching and safeguarding
