Pay Rate: $22.00/hour
Schedule: Monday Friday 5:30 AM 2:00 PM (30-minute lunch)

Position Summary:
The Finishing Operator I sets up and operates multiple machines and uses hand tools to perform repetitive high-production finishing operations. This role includes grinding cutting materials to specified dimensions dressing speed testing and small sandblasting operations. Products handled range from initial shaping stages through final finishing. Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation & Equipment

Set up and operate finishing equipment including sandblasters speed testers and balancers.
Select appropriate tooling and make adjustments in accordance with work orders and production instructions.
Use hand and power tools to set up and control production machinery.
Monitor machine operations and adjust settings as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
Transfer materials parts or finished products to designated work areas using appropriate equipment.

Production Tasks:

Load and unload materials or workpieces manually or with hoists.
Perform finishing activities including grinding cutting trimming scraping shaping and deburring components.
Ensure finished products meet required specifications and quality standards.

Documentation & Process Control:

Follow work orders machine instructions and supervisor direction to determine specifications and operational sequence.
Record product and processing data using designated forms or computer systems.
Support quality checks and inspections conducted by supervisors or senior operators.

Materials & Products:
Work involves manufacturing and finishing products such as:

Abrasive wheels
Abrasive segments
Ceramic finishing materials
Kiln furniture components

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Ability to operate production machinery and finishing equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
Ability to read and follow work orders and production instructions.
Strong attention to quality safety and detail.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a high-production environment.
