Job Summary

Job Title: Sr. Data Engineer Databricks
This is a direct hire role

Location of role: St. Louis / Clayton Mo. on-site hybrid role 1 to 3 days a week after rampup could be 1 day a week. Good work/life balance.

Salary base $135K to $155K plus a nice 10% potential bonus - Depending on experience DOE

What youll do:

Build enhance and support ETL/ELT data pipelines used across the firm
Partner with a variety of teams to deliver high-impact data solutions
Design develop test and maintain both new and existing data workflows
Work on projects with real deadlines and real business impact
Support production systems including:
- Responding to high-severity incidents when they arise
- Reviewing code and contributing to team quality standards
- Participating in an on-call rotation with your peers
Independently troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues
Thrive in a fast-moving collaborative engineering environment

What you bring:

A bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
(or equivalent hands-on experience)
5 years of experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
Strong SQL skills and experience working with production data systems
Experience programming in Python C# or similar languages
Hands-on experience with AWS (including Lambda S3 and Airflow)
Experience working with Databricks or PySpark for large-scale data processing
A thoughtful detail-oriented approach to solving problems
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset

Nice to have:

Experience with SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL
SSIS or similar data integration tools
Workflow orchestration or automation experience (e.g. Airflow)
Experience working in an Agile development environment
