Role Overview

We are seeking a mid-level User Research and Data Analyst to support a high impact enterprise application initiative. This role requires deep hands on research into an existing internal tool close collaboration with business partners designers and software developers and active participation in shaping UI improvements and validating them through usability testing.

This position is best suited for a self starter who is comfortable working independently with limited day to day direction. The ideal candidate can proactively plan research navigate ambiguity identify the right methods for the problem at hand and drive work forward while keeping stakeholders aligned. They should also be curious and adaptive with a willingness to experiment with AI tools new methods and evolving techniques that enhance research efficiency and insight generation.

Responsibilities

Research Planning & Execution

• Develop and execute targeted research plans aligned to project objectives and enterprise application workflows.
• Conduct mixed method research-including stakeholder interviews workflow analysis contextual/field studies surveys heuristic evaluations and usability testing-to understand user needs and system pain points.
• Investigate current tool capabilities usage patterns and limitations to surface opportunities for UI and workflow improvements.

Data Analysis & Insight Generation

• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify patterns trends and actionable insights that directly inform product and design decisions.
• Translate complex datasets into clear narratives and evidence backed recommendations.

Synthesis & Deliverables

• Transform research findings into well structured deliverables such as personas workflow maps journey maps insight summaries problem statements opportunity frameworks and usability reports.
• Present findings to business partners designers and software development teams clearly articulating implications for product direction and UI enhancements.

Collaboration

• Work in close partnership with business stakeholders to understand enterprise processes and ensure research is grounded in operational and strategic realities.
• Collaborate closely with UX designers to translate insights into design concepts and UI improvements.
• Partner with software development teams to ensure research and design intent is understood throughout implementation.
• Advocate for evidence based user centered decision making across the project team.

Validation & Continuous Improvement

• Plan and conduct usability testing to validate design concepts prototypes and incremental enhancements.
• Iterate on research methods and processes to improve quality speed and team alignment.
• Stay current on evolving best practices in enterprise UX research data analysis and design collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in HCI Psychology Sociology Data Science Human Factors or a related field.
• 3 years of user research and/or data analysis experience ideally involving enterprise or internal tools environments.
• Working proficiency in Figma for research handoff prototyping collaboration and design feedback.
• Experience with Jira or similar tools for managing requirements tracking issues and collaborating with development teams.
• Familiarity with AI tools and a willingness to experiment with new methods to improve research efficiency.
• Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non technical audiences.
• Experience producing personas journey/workflow maps insight summaries usability reports and similar deliverables.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working independently in a fast paced environment.
