Role: Lead Test Engineer
Client: Defense-Aerospace
Hourly Rate: up to $65/hr (W2 non-benefited)
Length: 1-year contract
Location:Scottsdale AZ
Clearance: Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities U.S. citizenship is required.
Description:
- Lead a team of integration and test engineers providing technical guidance mentorship and direction
- Develop and maintain the test strategy for embedded products
- Architect test solutions that effectively validate system requirements
- Establish best practices for test automation continuous integration and test reporting
- Leading Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) and internal testing assessments with key program stakeholders
- Design comprehensive test plans that cover all aspects of product functionality
- Develop automated test scripts using Python 3.9 following GDMS coding standards
- Implement robust verification and validation methodologies
- Coordinate integration activities between hardware firmware and software teams
- Establish integration procedures that ensure smooth component interaction
- Support AGILE implementation
- Create detailed test documentation including test plans procedures and reports
- Maintain accurate records of test activities and results
- Ability to develop ROMs in accordance with execution of requirements
- Conduct Performance reviews per process
Required & Desired Skills:
- Experience leading 3 to 5 team members holding team members accountable to program milestone execution
- Expert knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming system processes and scripting languages Python
- Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and methodologies
- Experience with hardware/software integration testing
- Significant experience with test equipment (signal analyzer signal generator USRP)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Outstanding communication skills for frequent contact with managers project teams across the company and external customers and vendors
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
- Familiarity with embedded systems development and testing
- Experience with requirements management and traceability
- Background in defense or aerospace industries

Required Education and Experience:
Requires a Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related Science Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 8 years of job-related experience or a Masters degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
