Role Overview
The Tax Compliance Manager - directly reporting into the CC & LS Head of Tax based in Eysins (Geneva area Switzerland) - will primarily assist with corporate tax and transfer pricing compliance and manage international tax audits as assigned. He/she will provide support on a wide array of international tax issues including cross-border structuring and M&A. Additionally the Tax Compliance Manager will
- Own and maintain global processes for corporate income tax compliance and transfer pricing documentation for CC develop and implement standardized procedures controls and reporting mechanisms ensure alignment with global tax strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Help monitor tax risks and support the CC global transfer pricing strategy and policy as well as the tax accounting process with respect to international operations
- Interface regularly with corporate management and business teams regarding strategic impact of international tax planning compliance and transfer pricing issues
Work Environment: This role is hybrid offering a mix of on-site collaboration and remote work flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the CC & LS Head of Tax and other team members on international tax matters transfer pricing tax optimization structuring and implementation
- Proactive handling of all recurring tax issues (CIT VAT WHT Stamp Tax) within CC in close cooperation with Business Services Center (BSC) and local teams
- Act as CC Dividend Manager for the annual dividend distribution process
- Manage preparation and updates of transfer pricing documentation in line with national and international requirements together with the group tax team and the finance function
- Directly prepare transfer pricing documentation for certain group entities
Support with cash pooling functioning and tax related analysis - Prepare and review i/c agreements in conjunction with the legal department take care of certain corporate tax filings (CIT WHT etc.)
- Manage tax audits and litigations within CC act as key liaison between BSC local finance teams and tax advisors and issuing guidance on the overall strategy for managing litigation
Monitor tax rulings implementation
Support on DAC6 compliance and UK equivalent
Support on Pillar 2 compliance
Prepare and review tax packages - Maintaining the Group tax compliance databases to ensure that tax related information and documentation is promptly available
- Ensure global tax processes are compliant with existing tax laws and quickly adapt to new laws and practices as they arise
Implementing and maintaining tax compliance controls
Critical Competencies for Success
- Professional Tax qualification from a primary jurisdiction
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability
- 6-10 years of experience in international tax matters
- Exposure to Swiss and APAC tax systems strongly preferred
- Experience in dealing with Tax Authorities generally speaking
- Experience in managing external service providers
- Ability to effectively communicate complex tax issues to non-tax people
- Enthusiasm for managing tax matters in a commercial environment and willingness to learn and expand responsibilities
- Ability to prioritize and take ownership of work
- Ability to build strong working relationships and demonstrate organizational skills with attention to detail
- Advanced Excel PowerPoint and Microsoft Office skills
- Great verbal and written communication: fluent in English any other language is an advantage
- Willingness to travel globally (up to 20%) and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
