The opportunity:

Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC) is a research and development facility with around 500 R&D engineers specialists and experts who focus on creating and sustaining digital solutions new products and technology. This includes product integration testing cybersecurity and certification. The India Development Centre is situated in Chennai and Bangalore. IDC collaborates with the R&D and Research centers of Hitachi Energy which are spread across more than 15 locations throughout 12 countries.
In the past 20 years IDC has secured more than 200 international papers and 150 patents.

How youll make an impact:

• In this role as manager for Digital Technologies you will be a part of a committed team that operates in the forefront of technology.

• You will lead a highly knowledgeable team of Engineers and specialist ensure development and retention.

• Manage operational tasks for the team ensure high quality output from the team.

• Be engaged in creating and driving inspiring teams vision connected with organizations vision & strategy.

• You will take ownership of developing the teams competence and work processes.

• Actively encourage collaboration with the receiving organizations as well as with Global team.

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.

• Living Hitachi Energys core values safety and integrity which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background:

• You hold at least Engineering Degree preferably in relevant technology field e.g. Software Systems Power Systems Power Electronics and having knowledge in HVAC / HVDC / FACTS technology is an advantage

• As a person you have a passion for people and technology you are strong in decision making and have the right inner drive to take on full responsibility for your scope and deliver on time in a dynamic environment.

• Prior experience in R&D people management are preferable.

• Sound understanding of R&D activities and so in power system business/project.

• Since we work in an international environment you need to master spoken and written English.

• You are a genuine team player that seeks and enjoys collaboration with peers and partners.
