Job Summary

3 month Contract With A local Authority

Job Purpose

To provide a professional surveying service delivering technical expertise and management of a broad range of building repair works adaptations and party wall matters. The Building Surveyor will ensure projects are delivered efficiently in compliance with statutory and local regulations and to a high standard of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive surveying and technical services including diagnosis specification design and facilitation of building repair works and adaptations.
Manage projects from inception to completion including programming contractor supervision and ensuring delivery on time on budget and to the required quality.
Develop monitor and maintain practices and procedures to ensure consistent high-quality customer-focused service.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with applicants residents contractors supply chain partners internal departments and external agencies to achieve best value outcomes.
Act as a subject matter expert in building practices offering professional guidance and advice across a variety of projects.

Requirements

Minimum HNC in Building Surveying or equivalent qualification.
Proven experience in general building surveying adaptations repairs and party wall matters.
Strong knowledge of statutory and local building regulations.
Experience managing building projects from inception to completion.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Ability to work three days per week in the office (Tooley Street London Bridge) with remaining days flexible/home-based.
