Job Summary

Job Description:

Coordinate with Maintenance & Engineering to ensure flight data pertaining to 100% of operated flights are captured in FDAP (Flight Data Analysis Program).
Assess and validate events generated from flight data in accordance with established event handling procedures.
Create flight animation videos for certain events and obtain feedback from respective flight crew for any systemic enhancements.
Coordinate with Tech Services to ensure monthly routine CVR download & monitoring is performed as per established regulations.
Co-ordinate with Maintenance & Engineering to ensure CVR download & analysis is performed for incidents.
Play an active role in enhancing the functionality of software / applications that aid the FDAP
Plan software upgrades to cater for new aircraft type induction or change in regulations and maintain working relationships with software vendors.
Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly statistical trends for dissemination to flight operations and for publishing in Safety journals/bulletins/magazines.
Coordinates with Flight Operations for new event creation / data analysis needs and generate new events enhanced reports and dashboards.
Maintain documentation of approved policies and procedures pertaining to FDAP.
Participates and contributes to the Akasa Airs Safety Management System (SMS) framework.

Desired Qualification / Certifications:

Bachelors degree in Aeronautical Engineering/Data Science & Analytics/Mechanical Engineering/Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or Pilot License (Private/Commercial).
Masters degree in Aeronautics/Aviation Safety/Applied Statistics.
At least 2 years of experience in a flight safety function of a commercial airline.
Experience performing statistical analysis and building relevant dashboards.
Experience in any flight data analysis software and CEFA animation software.

Skills & Knowledge:

Knowledge of aircraft flight physics and multiple aircraft systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Civil Aviation Regulations and Safety Management System.
