Job Description - Institutional Sales (Banking Segment)
Role Purpose
Drive adoption of commodities as an asset class among Banks by engaging with CIOs Fund Managers and Investment Specialists. The role focuses on positioning commodities as a viable allocation within multi-asset portfolios in line with SEBI regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Core Functional
- Pitch commoditiesas an investment asset class to Banks with multi-asset mandates
- Engage with CIOs Fund Managers and Investment Specialists to drive portfolio allocation into commodities
- Track commodity markets (bullion base metals energy) and generate actionable investment insights
- Create investment notes model portfolios and allocation strategies for commodities inclusion
- Conduct portfolio reviews and recommend optimal allocation to commodities
Client Management (Internal & External)
- Build strong relationships with CXO-level stakeholders across Banks
- Work closely with Relationship Managers Treasury Teams and Investment Teams
- Deliver high-impact presentations and advisory pitches to institutional clients
- Drive continuous engagement to increase participation and allocation
Regulatory & Risk Management
- Ensure alignment with SEBI regulations allowing Banks to invest in commodities
- Educate clients on risk management volatility and derivatives usage in commodities
- Coordinate with compliance legal and operations for smooth onboarding and execution
Required Skills:
sales experience with Banks or Financial InstitutionsStrong market knowledge with focus on commodities
