Your Impact

AsLegal Counsel you will play a key role in enabling the business to deliver safecompliantand customer-focused products and services. Partnering closely with teams across the organisationyoullprovide practical commercially minded legal advice that supports confident decision-making and responsible growth.

Operating at the intersection of commercial strategy regulatorycomplianceand customer protectionyoullhelp the business navigate legal risk while keeping pace with a fast-moving experience from havingpreviouslyworked in-housein regulated industriesyour work will support new initiatives partnerships and marketing activity while strengthening legal awareness and capability across the organisation.

Working closely with the General Counsel Senior CorporateCounseland the broader Legal teamyoullplayan important rolein ensuring our business continues tooperatein a compliantresponsibleand customer-first way.

Where and how you can work
This role is a12 monthfixed-term contract based in our Brisbaneoffice(HQ) with minimum of 2 days in the office.

Day in the Life

• Provide practicalcommercially focusedlegal advice acrosscommercial corporate consumeremploymentprivacyintellectual property matters.

• Draftreviewand negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements (supplier technologymarketingand operational contracts).

• Advise on new product initiativespromotionsand customer terms & conditions.

• Review marketing and customer-facing materials from a legal perspective.

• Support cross-functional business projects and growth initiatives.

• Contribute to the management of complaintsdisputesand other legal issues as they arise from customer complaints through to larger litigation matters and regulatory investigations whererequired.

• Support the Legal team with governancedocumentationand process improvement initiatives.

Your Strengths

• 25 years post-admission experience in private practice or an in-houseenvironment.

• Strong foundationin commercial and contract law.

• Broad legal capability across general corporate and advisory matters.

• Ability to provide clearpracticaland commercially sensible advice.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Well organised detail-orientedand able to manage competing priorities.

• Collaborative and adaptable with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
