Job Description
As a Security Officer - Gate Screening Driver in Ridgeville SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Allied Universal Officer at a government facility you will staff an access control post greet staff and visitors verify identification manage entry and exit points and document incidents and/or concerns. You will maintain a visible presence support security-related protocols and communicate clearly with site leadership and the public. This is a driving post. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification issuing visitor credentials as directed screening authorized property and maintaining entry and exit logs.
- Monitor cameras alarms radios and/or access control systems; report irregular activity and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalating conflicts when appropriate and requesting additional assistance as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas interior spaces and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access policy violations and/or property damage.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
- COLA: DPSS/DHS Tuberculosis test/MMR vaccinations.
- A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Applicants must be 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
