About the Service & Team
The Rehousing Temporary Accommodation Team provides and manages Temporary Accommodation for households experiencing homelessness. Due to significant growth in the temporary accommodation portfolio the team is facing increased demand. We are now seeking an additional team member to support us in delivering a highquality efficient and effective service that meets our statutory duties and helps households progress towards longerterm housing solutions.
About the Role
The Rehousing Accommodation Officer is responsible for managing a designated portfolio of temporary accommodation properties across Cornwall and providing support to the individuals and families who reside in them. You will act as the primary point of contact for any issues relating to the properties or the wider community ensuring that accommodation is safe compliant and wellmanaged.
Working closely with colleagues across the Housing Options Service as well as a range of partner agencies you will contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to tenancy sustainment early intervention and resolving housingrelated challenges.
This is a hybrid role; however due to the nature of the work you will be required onsite most days. A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.
Key Responsibilities
This is a publicfacing role and therefore subject to the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers.
The role also requires an enhanced criminal record disclosure check.
