Job Summary

THIS POSITION IS FOR UPPERCLASSMEN ONLY. FRESHMEN ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR DEPARTMENT POSITIONS.

Expected hours of work per week: Minimum 15

Work Location & Hours: Chapel 119/ Music Work Study Office/ 9am-4pm some evenings

Work is to be done on campus unless otherwise directed. The office is CL 119 but event support may be throughout the campus.

Qualifications for Position:

  • Must meet production deadlines
  • Must collaborate and communicate well with others
  • Positive attitude and flexibility in the workplace
  • Must have organizational skills and be detail-oriented
  • Creative problem-solving sometimes in time-pressure situations
  • Experience with Canva or other graphic design software
  • Filmography video editing photo and sound editing skills are a plus
  • Hours are typically 10-15 hours/week

Expected Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce photo/video for press releases and social media promotion
  • Write and distribute PSAs and press releases
  • Create artwork for posters programs or other promotional needs in collaboration with the Department of Music staff.
  • Copywriter for social media content
  • Coordinate with the manager to handle the music departments social media accounts and mailing lists
  • Coordinate with the manager to handle the music departments event ticketing
  • Assist with other written materials for the department such as the website and concert programs
  • Assist with other aspects of concert production if necessary

Resume skills development (NACE Competencies required by employers) to be developed
