Position Overview

Performs supply chain functions which may include but are not limited to inventory control and distribution. Creates integrated processes among internal functions such as operations. Focuses resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes and establishes key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis. Promotes alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization.

Essential Functions

  • Direct responsibility for cycle counting program for $8MM of onsite inventory.
  • Working with Finance to overseeing cycle count and inventory accuracy activities
  • Maintain acceptable level of inventory accuracy and count volumes
  • Investigate and resolve errors and take appropriate actions to identify and fix root causes.
  • Review analyze and monitor inventory valuation cycle count accuracy and location utilization
  • Accounts for all materials and supplies in the stores facilities; audits goods received into warehouse. Oversees receipt storage and shipment of materials and related reporting in accordance with established procedures
  • Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the supervisors ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization where formal authority is not held
  • Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors
  • Decisions and problem solving are guided by policies procedures and business plan; receive guidance and oversight from senior operations manager
  • Support the transaction and resolution of defective/on Hold inventory (MRB)
  • Oversight of company scrap process for excess & obsolete inventory at the facility
  • Interface with Mercury Marine regions to investigate shipping variances and further adjust onsite inventory accordingly
  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement opportunities in area of responsibility
  • Monthly measurement and report of KPIs including customer fill rate inventory position turns and cycle counts adjustments
  • The Inventory supervisor has authority for personnel actions and oversees most day-to-day operations of group
  • As needed serve as backup and support for manager and plant supervisor

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to apply advanced materials management concepts to ensure continual flow of parts and accessories products to meet customer demands through supply chain best practices and processes already established while identifying and implementing missing processes and procedures.
  • Ability to influence lead and perform addition must be able to apply strong inventory management practices to ensure the integrity of the parts and accessories business of material flow from time of receipt to put away to point of sale.
  • 3-5 years distribution and inventory management experience
  • Strong Cross Functional/Team Leadership and Communication Skills.
  • Good Organization skills with strong attention to detail
  • Technical and logical capability to solve problems
  • Must be able to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership & project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills
  • Advance PC skills in MS Access Excel PowerPoint Word Power BI and Visio
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight required

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge in Lean Six Sigma methodology Green Belt certification
  • Experience with Manhattan warehouse management system

Education Requirements

AA/AS in Business Supply Chain Management or Engineering Technologies.

Working Conditions

Temperatures of work areas may be affected by outside temperatures. Training is provided for environmental health and safety PPE is provided by the company. This work requires routine walking and standing.

The anticipated pay range for this position is 47000 - 73800 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills relevant experience business needs and geographic addition to base pay this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

At Brunswick it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidates qualifications and the business context.
