Set-up (Su) and Operate (Op) Miscellaneous Machines

As a Set-up (Su) and Operate (Op) Miscellaneous Machines here at Honeywell you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our machining processes run efficiently safely and in accordance with quality standards while optimizing production schedules. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and collaborate with other departments to meet production goals and customer requirements. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining and improving our manufacturing operations to increase savings and better serve our customers.

You will report directly to our Machine Shop Manager and youll work out of our Minnesota MN location on a Onsite work schedule.

In this role you will impact the overall efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes ensuring that all operations meet the required standards and contribute to the companys success.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various miscellaneous machines to produce high-quality components.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.

Working Environment

• Must be willing and able to work in a work cell environment and dedicated to high quality of work.
• Machine Shop working environment.
• Typical dexterity to set up and operate miscellaneous equipment.
• Must work with coolant and oil materials.
• Must wear safety glasses with side shields.
• Oversee general housekeeping practices in group.
• Average to heavy weight lifting required.

The annual base salary range for this position is Min - $49600 - Max - $74400. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates work experience education and training key skills as well as market and business considerations.

Must be a U.S. Citizen due to contractual requirements.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Proven experience in operating and setting up miscellaneous machines.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and quality control principles.
• Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve production processes.

As of 7-1-89 candidates for this position must have the following requirements to be eligible for this position.

• Demonstrated productivity skills and abilities on current job plus 1 year experience at level C 200 hours of vocational machine shop training and 6 months evaluation period or 1 year experience at level D with 270 hours of vocational machine shop training and 6 months evaluation period or
• 3 years of outside machine shop experience or 1038 hours of vocational machine shop training with 6 months evaluation period and 60 day review.
  

WE VALUE

• Relevant technical certification or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 6 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles.
