Job Title: Pouch Lead
Job Rate: $31.79
Normal Hours: 3rd shift
(Hours and scheduled days are subject to change based on business needs.)

Plant service will be the determining factor if skills and abilities are determined to be equal. If no best-matched candidates are identified outside candidates may be considered.

Job duties will include but not be limited to the following:
Primary Function:
The Lead will coordinate daily activities within the department under direction of the department supervisor to ensure efficient use of all Associates time and efforts in meeting our department and plant goals. Embrace and support KHMS.
Specific Duties:
- Take leadership in routine production problem solving.
- Coordinate period cleaning programs and monthly checks.
- Relieve employees in department as needed.
- Insure day-to-day employee coverage.
- Involvement in plant optimization.
- Provide/insure explanation of all deviations in procedures and line process checks.
- Assist in processing equipment and procedure changes.
- Insure proper sanitation and inspection of equipment after daily and periodic cleaning or maintenance work.
- Responsible for minor maintenance items
- Must be a competent forklift operator /certified.
- Knowledge of completing appropriate paperwork for all areas and conducting respective inventories.
- Maintain legible neat and accurate records documentation reports etc.
- Maintain correct and accurate payroll documentation in Kronos for assigned associates.
- Insure good communication between different shifts and departments.
- Assist with new associate training.
- Perform sanitation responsibilities as needed and/or required.
- Utilize ZPI to gather performance data and chart at the end of each shift.
- Actively support the IL6S initiative and the pursuit of ZERO
- Work with area owners daily to eliminate stops.
- Understand and utilize the hold process including holding and releasing material.
- Staging material in the room and Back Staging after consumption
- Attending Huddles and completing RCFAs
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Productivity Responsibility:
- Actively participate in team goal setting/implementation to ensure that we are the low-cost high-quality producers.
- Strive to maximize the efficiency of the plant/department by submitting and implementing process improvements.
Quality Responsibility:
- Ensure the quality of our products and our workplace by following all procedures and guidelines.
- Comply with all established GMPs HACCP guidelines housekeeping responsibilities and KHMS operating procedures.
- Assist in the implementation of the KHMS program and training of new associates.
Safety Responsibility:
- Actively participate in team safety efforts to achieve/exceed plant goals.
- Involvement & support of KSRMP
- Required to perform all duties safely & use discretion to prevent injuries to self and/or others.
Qualifications:
- Able to work well within a team environment as well as work effectively with all associates.
- Planning and organizational skills.
- Understanding of requirements and importance of documentation.
- Demonstrate leadership ability positive attitude strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A working knowledge of safety guidelines and problem-solving abilities are a must.
- Learn all departmental processes.
- Computer skills.
- Strong belief in the benefit of learning coaching others and promoting teamwork.
- Knowledge of LIS ZPI Excel and Matrics.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Able to lift 40 lbs.
- Travel if required
